Practice Nurse

Practice Nurse. Sister Susan Cooper is available 2 days a week and offers the following services:

  • Family planning advice and injection 
  • Cervical Smear Screening  and  Well women health check
  • Travel advice and vaccinations
  • Advice on healthy eating/lifestyle and weight loss
  • NHS Health Check /over 40 health check
  • Annual reviews for Chronic diseases ,eg, COPD, Diabetes
  • Childhood immunisations (baby vaccinations)
  • Child Developmental check clinics- run by the nurse with the doctor
  • Blood pressure check
  • Other Vaccinations for Adult: Pneumococcal, Shingles, MMR catch up, Men C Catch up, whooping cough for expecting mothers
  • Ear Syringing
  • Self care advise for minor ailments

An appointment with the practice nurse can be booked in advance by telephone or in person 

The practice does not have facilities to provide a stitch removal and dressing.If you require these then please visit one of the treatment rooms. 
 
Please note: This practice do not provide yellow fever vaccination and Meningitis ACWY vaccine for Hajj and Umrah travel.
 
 
 
 

 

Family Planning

Child Surveillance/Baby Clinic

On Tuesdays by appointment.

All types of Child health development and immunisation service are provided (except routine weighing).  

This is run by the GP and the Practice Nurse. At this clinic, babies and children receive their immunisations, growth and development checks. Appointments for follow up Immunisations are booked by practice nurse.

Invites are sent by the practice team with the appointment date and time. Please be on time and if this time is not convenient for you then ring the surgery to arrange an alternate time. 

if some reason you can not keep then please call the practice to reschedule appointment.

Please remember to bring baby's red book on all visits

Please note: Health visitor will not be available in our baby clinic at the surgery. Instead they will be available at the community clinic.  A list of community clinics are available from our practice nurse. 

You can find health visitors telephone number on the baby's red book as well.  For routine weight check you can arrange with community health visitor clinic near by.

Podiatry Clinic

This service is provided by the special nurse for our diabeties patient only.  This clinic run by a Podiatry Nurse twice a month - Tuesday am and Thursday pm by appointment only. We organise this clinic by inviting patient when they are due for their anual check.
 
 If you have not receive invitation call yet and due then please ring the practice to  make appointment. 
 
If you have a booked appointment and you unable to attend then please cancel as soon as possible, so we can offer to another patient.
 
 

District Nurses

They are important members of our practice team who provide nursing care and advice to patients in their own home.  They work closely with the GP practice. Please contact practice if you need to contact District nurses.

Smoking Advice

Over 75 Consultations

Health check for over 75 is available at the practice, by appointment only. 

If you are 75 years old or over and have not had elderly health assessement then please book an appointment with the practice nurse.  We strongly recommend health assessment to all our elderly/frail population.

This is a new service where patient can obtain help, advice and guidance on non-clinical issue.
